Francesc Nicolás & Carles Xuriguera natural wines project, at the foot of Les Gavarres in l’Empordà, tuesday May 10th at 19h.

 

ELEFANTÍAQUES is my project of natural wines located at the foot of the ‘Massís de Les Gavarres’, and owes its name to the poet Josep Pla who defined this mountainous formation as ‘with ELEPHANTIAQUE lines’ due to its rounded shapes.

In collaboration with Carles Xuriguera , it is a conscientious agriculture project: ecological and regenerative, where minimal intervention wines are made without the addition of sulfur, seeking the maximum expression of a terroir with as much character as the Empordà.

This is a project of modest dimensions, and in this first vintage we have produced around 5,000 bottles of wine among all our references.

We’ll taste FOUR wines:

 

100% Grey Garnacha from Fonteta, co-fermented in stainless steel tanks and clay pots. Raised for 8 weeks in stainless steel tanks. Wine without added sulphites.


 

100% Grenache from Fonteta, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Wine without added sulphites.

 

100% Carignan from Fonteta, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Wine without added sulphites.

 

100% Syrah from Fonteta, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks. Wine without added sulphites.
