Condes de Albarei – Albarei – DO Rias Baixas

Albariño

The Albariño Condes de Albarei is made with the best flower musts to extract the varietal purity of the alba grape

TASTING NOTE

Golden yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose it has a medium-high intensity, with floral aromas and hints of white fruits. It is a clean and elegant scent. On the palate, the wine is fresh, wide, round and with a marked aromatic persistence.

Adega Condes de Albarei

Adega Condes de Albarei was established in 1988 by several enthusiastic vine growers from the Salnés Valley, who dreamed about making top-quality Albariño wines. The winery soon became a point of reference within the “Rías Baixas” Designation of Origin.

In 1991, Condes de Albarei was awarded the gold medal at Bordeaux’s Challenge International du Vin. This prize, the first one obtained by a Spanish white wine, helped the winery to internationalise its wines, selling them in a wide range of markets in countries such as Britain, the United States, Mexico or Japan.

It was in the year 2008 that Condes de Albarei purchased the Pazo Baión winery, undertaking an important vinicultural and wine-tourism project.

Adega Condes de Albarei makes highly renowned wines with Albariño grapes, a variety with a great aromatic expression and long tradition of cultivation in the Salnés Valley.

DO Rías Baixas

The Salnés Valley is one of the five sub-zones that belong to the “Rías Baixas” Designation of Origin.

It is the region with the designation of origin’s greatest area of vines, centred on the municipality of Cambados.

The region has an Atlantic influence featuring mild mean temperatures and high precipitation, with poor, sandy soils that are ideal for cultivating the Albariño grape variety.
