Costador Terroir Mediterranis

Costadors is a project that from very early on earned a deserved fame of top wines in the many export markets where it is present, and that little by little a hole is opening in the local menus and shelves.

From the oldest cooperative wine building in Spain, in Barberà de la Conca, Joan Franquet vinifies the three product lines that make up Costador, practicing biodynamic agriculture and natural winemaking.
We are a winery that works unique vineyards only with organic and biodynamic agriculture.
The vineyards are old, most of them between 60 and 110 years old with different “terroirs” (clay and limestone). They are located at altitudes between 400 and 800 meters.
With a strong thermal contrast, our grapes can ripen for a long period and retain freshness and acidity.
We control the temperature of the whole process, from the moment we harvest the grapes, during fermentation and later aging.

Fermentation with wild and native yeasts in amphora or in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels.
The final wine is a true grape juice, authentic and with natural aromas.
